The Rochester Business Journal has named our President and CEO, Mike Donoghue, one of the region’s top Power Players in banking and finance for 2021. Power 30 is a prestigious list in Rochester, and highlights executives who are making significant impacts in the area from these five industries: banking and finance, education, law, manufacturing, and real estate and construction.

Donoghue and our team at Premium Mortgage Corporation are no strangers to Rochester-area awards, particularly in 2021. This past November, we were named the number one fastest growing company in the region by the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce.

As the founder of Premium Mortgage Corporation, Donoghue is humbled and quick to praise his team for the Power 30 honor:

“While the recognition is aimed at me personally, the size and scope of our organization cannot be credited to a single person. The credit belongs to our team of people spread across the country who have made us a consistent performer in an extremely highly regulated and competitive industry. Our ability to pivot to remote operations during the pandemic without delays to our approvals and closings is quite remarkable, and it’s allowed us to maintain the position of the number one purchase money mortgage lender in our markets. Real estate agents recognize what lengths lenders will go to in order close transactions on time, every time. That reputation created by our amazing staff has the effect of making me look good, even though they are the driving force.”

Donoghue has been named alongside many prominent Rochester figures, all of whom have helped the region’s customers stay up to date on new rules, regulations, and financing options through a period of tremendous uncertainty.

“On behalf of the whole Premium Mortgage Corporation family, I am so proud of Mike for earning this recognition,” said Executive Vice President and Operations Manager, Alexia Barbarossa. “His expertise and vision are unmatched in this industry, along with his passion for innovation—which is really the chief catalyst of the company. We are so fortunate he’s leading the way for our team.”
