Summary:
The Social Media Coordinator & Event Assistant will develop and manage all social media efforts and assist in event planning/execution.

Job Duties:

The Social Media Coordinator & Event Assistant will be responsible for completing the following job duties.

  • Build and execute social media strategy through research and audience identification
  • Create marketing plan and a regular publishing schedule for each profile/account. Includes all corporate channels as well as those of 50+ Salespeople. (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn).
  • Create appealing and engaging content that accurately reflects our culture, tone and growth goals. (original text, images, and video)
  • Assist with crisis management, bad reviews, and negative news communications
  • Moderate online reviews, appropriately reply/alert management of negative ones, and utilize positive ones for further marketing purposes.
  • Moderate user-generated content and messages appropriately, based on company and community policies.
  • Communicate with social media followers, including responding to queries in a timely manner.
  • Work with our graphic designers when specialized imagery is needed.
  • Work with our CRM team to track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes.
  • Stay up to date on best practices and emerging trends in marketing and social media.
  • Write 1-3 blog posts per month.
  • Write and distribute Press Releases.
  • Develop content for monthly newsletter.
  • Assist in event planning and execution.
  • Other tasks as need
  • Training as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • A college degree is preferred but not required

Experience:

  • 1-2+ years’ experience/ability
  • Social Media Interfaces: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn
  • Google: Forms, Sheets, Docs, Drive
  • Microsoft: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Photography and Video: basic composition and editing skills
  • Event planning and execution

Working Conditions:

The Social Media Coordinator & Event Assistant is primarily in an office setting and may be exposed to outdoor conditions.
The working conditions are classified as medium work:

  • Medium work – Involves lifting of no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. At times this position will require walking and/or standing for long periods of time.
