Job Duties:
The Appraisal Coordinator will be responsible for completing the following job duties.

  • Orders Appraisal through appraisal software
  • Orders FHA and VA Case Number Assignments
  • Obtains CAIVRS, LDP, GSA lists for FHA, VA and USDA loans
  • Retrieves and reviews completed appraisals
  • Obtains all Underwriter conditions pertaining to Appraisals
  • Orders any subsequent Appraisal Reviews required, including but not limited to the following:  Field Reviews, Final Inspections, Second Appraisals, Equity Appraisals
  • Notifies Borrowers, Realtors, Loan Officers, and Processors of the following Appraisal Statuses:  Ordered, Scheduled, Received, Cleared
  • Sends Borrower copy of Appraisal and Appraisal Acknowledgement form prior to closing
  • Training as needed

Qualifications:
The following qualification are required of the Appraisal Coordinator

Education:

  • A college degree with two years related experience and/or training. A combination of equivalent education and experience is acceptable.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in the mortgage industry with understanding of residential appraisals

Working Conditions:
The Appraisal Coordinator is primarily in an office setting and may be exposed to outdoor conditions. The working conditions are classified as sedentary work:

  • Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
